These high-quality stainless steel fittings allow the connection of two different thread standards: the American NPT thread (National Pipe Thread) and the European ISO 7-1 thread (also known as BSPT or pipe thread).

Difference Between NPT and ISO 7-1 Threads

NPT Thread (National Pipe Thread):
- Standard in the USA and other countries.
- Conical thread form where the threads taper inward to create a tight seal.
- Thread flank angle is 60°.
- Dimensions and tolerances are defined by ASME/ANSI B1.20.1.
ISO 7-1 Thread (BSPT – British Standard Pipe Tapered):
- Commonly used in Europe and other international markets.
- Also has a conical form for a secure and tight connection.
- Thread flank angle is 55°.
- Standardized according to ISO 7-1, often referred to as DIN 2999.
